The general purpose vandal dome. Where the mini dome is chosen for discretion, this is chosen because someone might hit it. IK10 is an impact rating, not a marketing tier, and it is the reason this housing turns up in bars, transit areas and school entrances.
It is the 2.8mm of the pair. The wider view suits a room or a small forecourt; the 4.0mm version, IPC324SB-DF40K-I0, narrows the field and pushes identification further down a corridor or an aisle. Pick from the distance you actually need a face at, not from how much of the room you want in shot.
Low light behaviour
120dB WDR handles the case that breaks most cameras: a doorway with bright daylight behind it. Rated to 0.002 lux in colour, and 0 lux with the IR on out to 30 metres.

Common questions
- 2.8mm or 4.0mm?
- 2.8mm for coverage of a space, 4.0mm for identification down a length. If you need both, that is two cameras, not one compromise position.
- Will it survive an outdoor install?
- Yes, IP67. The rating covers dust and immersion, so a wall or soffit mount is fine. It is the vandal rating rather than the weather rating that usually decides this camera over a turret.
