4MP vandal dome on a 4.0mm lens: 83.7 degree field, IK10 and IP67, 120dB WDR, 30m IR. Trade only, blind drop ship available.

The vandal dome with the longer lens. Same IK10 housing and IP67 sealing as the 2.8mm, on an 83.7 degree field instead of 101.1. Specified where the camera has to survive contact and still identify somebody at distance.

At 4MP across 83.7 degrees it identifies at roughly 6.0 metres, against about 4.4 for the wide version. Down an aisle, a corridor or a platform edge, that gap is usually the difference between a usable image and a shrug.

Low light behaviour

120dB WDR and IR to 30 metres, on the same sensor as the wide version. The case it is built for is a doorway with daylight behind it, which is where most cameras give up.

Common questions

Which lens for a corridor?
The 4.0mm. A corridor is a length rather than a space, and a wider lens spends most of its pixels on the walls.
Is the housing the same as the 2.8mm?
Yes. Same IK10 dome, same IP67 rating, same mount and same bracket. Only the lens and the field of view differ, so a position specified for one will take the other.
