4MP LightHunter turret with 512GB edge storage, 120dB WDR and 30m IR. Trade only, blind drop ship available.

The turret is the format most installers reach for by default, and this is the well specified version of it. No dome bubble means no internal IR reflection, which is the single most common cause of a washed out night image on a dome that was installed correctly in every other respect.

It takes a microSD card up to 512GB. That is worth using even when a recorder is on site: edge storage covers the network dropping, which is exactly when a recording matters most. Configure ANR on the recorder so the gap backfills automatically once the link returns.

Placing it

Published DORI detect distance is 63 metres at 2.8mm. Identify distance is a fraction of that, so place it for the job it is doing. A camera watching a till needs identification at three metres, not detection at sixty.

Common questions

Turret or dome?
Turret for image quality, dome for vandal resistance. The bubble on a dome costs you some light and can flare from IR; the turret has no bubble but its lens assembly is exposed to a determined hand.
Do I need the SD card if I have an NVR?
It is the cheapest insurance you can fit. If the switch reboots or the cable is cut, edge storage keeps recording and ANR backfills the recorder afterwards.
