4MP turret on a 4.0mm lens: 83.7 degree field, 512GB edge storage, 120dB WDR, 30m IR. The reach version of the 2.8mm. Trade only.
The turret, lensed for distance. 83.7 degrees rather than 101.1, on the same 4MP sensor with 120dB WDR and room for 512GB of edge storage. The turret body carries no bubble, so there is no internal IR reflection to design around.
The lens is the only real difference from the 2.8mm. Identification runs to about 6.0 metres instead of 4.4, which is what you want pointed down a loading bay or along a building line.
Recording at the edge
Up to 512GB of microSD on board. Treat it as cover for a network outage rather than a replacement for the recorder. It takes power over 802.3af, so it lands on an ordinary PoE switch port.

Common questions
- Turret or dome at 4.0mm?
- Turret if it is outside or leaning on IR, because there is no bubble for the illuminator to bounce off. Dome if the position needs the IK10 impact rating.
- Does edge storage replace an NVR?
- No. Retention on a 512GB card at 4MP is days rather than weeks, and the card sits inside a camera somebody may take. It covers a dropout; it is not the recording plan.
